Combination Support Group and Workshop, I called it a SupportShop:
Therapeutic Visual Journaling, Guided Imagery, Self Help tools and techniques, Mind-Body Scientific Information with a bit of fun and laughter on the side.
We meet in 8-week cycles. Group size is limited to 10 members for every 8-week cycle. Cycles are repeatable. Cost is $120 for all eight weeks, all materials included. Because of the focus and nature of the SupportShop, advanced Registration is required.
Having been diagnosed with fibro in 1996 and as a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist I have one goal: provide people with Life Altering Medical Conditions a place to share, learn and focus on what is positive, possible and practical to feel and do better.
Purposely Positive is a combination support group and workshop. You'll learn easy, AND FUN, tools to be able to express the inexpressible and give vision to the invisible experience of living with a life-altering condition.
Purposely Positive is scheduled in 4 or 8 week cycles and open to anyone with a life altering condition of life event.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: Our support group in Lake Havasu City is a committee operating under the umbrella of the Havasu Community Health Foundation. Our meetings offer education and support and a sense of community with others experiencing similar life challenges. Some members of our group meet periodically for fellowship and enjoy beading. They sell their bead work to help defray overhead costs incurred by the group. Our meetings are free and open to all. We do ask for donations to help support our cost and overhead.
**Any one wishing more information can contact our current chairperson by visiting the Havasu Community Health Foundation website at http://www.havasucommunityhealth.orgor by phoning 928-453-8190. Suggestions for quality guest speakers or quality program content are also encouraged to contact us. We do not allow sales presentations at our support group meetings.**
