Host Jan Chambers, president and founder of the NFMCPA, will be talking with special guest, C. Jessie Jones, PhD, Professor and Chair of Health Science and Founder and Director of California State University, Fullerton's Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Research and Education Center.
Dr. Jones, who was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1998, will discuss how exercise improves cognitive function; what type of exercise is best for fibromyalgia and chronic pain and improving brain function, especially for people with fibromyalgia
Dr. Jones will also share tips and advice on how to get motivated for physical activity in 2012, as outlined in her article in the January/February 2012 issue of Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE magazine, “Strategies to Stay Motivated for Exercising in the New Year.”
