Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE Magazine
New bi-monthly digital publication for, by and about fibromyalgia & related chronic pain communities
LOGAN, Utah--(15 August 2011)—Offering straightforward, insightful information and support, Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE is the new bi-monthly digital consumer publication of the National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association (NFMCPA), a 501c3 organization whose mission is to build a united patient and medical community that will educate and execute advocacy programs regarding access to care, scientific research, diagnosis and treatment for people suffering with chronic pain from fibromyalgia and overlapping conditions.
In addition to stories on research news, feature profiles on people living well with fibromyalgia, awareness events and other issues that relate to the fibromyalgia diagnostic criteria and continuing medical education for health care providers, Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE will be offered free to NFMCPA email subscribers and serve as a guide to equal access to health care as it reports on the NFMCPA’s unprecedented role in collaborating with related conditions organizations.
Jan Chambers, president and founder of the NFMCPA and Editor-in-Chief of Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE, is also a member of the Pain Care Forum Subcommittee on Training and Education. As a congressional appointee, she has worked with the highest levels of government, corporations and the medical community in order to gain positive outcomes for the patient community.
“As president of the National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association, I meet with many other patient organizations as we put our heads and hearts together to engage in policy changes and promote research,” said Chambers. “Working together on our common issues is making a difference, and Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain LIFE is a collective resource to make our voices and stories heard.”
